We are a 40-something married couple, Carlos and Maria aka Albert and Ada, embarking on our latest adventure.

We’ve been married for just over 29 years and have experienced the inevitable ups and downs that accompany such a journey.

Always looking for a new challenge, a few years ago, I got the crazy idea to build a boat. No, not something reasonable like a skiff or a pram... No, I was going to build myself a 40 ft. sailboat!

Well, as always, my wife backed me all the way right up to the point that I was going to start… then she suggested, why don’t we buy a boat first, to see if we actually enjoy sailing before you build… darn, she knows I can’t fight logic!

We looked around and in May of 2003 we purchased a Catalina 30 named Euphoria in Connecticut sailed her to her new home in Haverstraw and haven’t looked back.

Well, we love it and the plan is to leave all of this behind and travel the world aboard Rocinante… Ok, we’ll start with some coastal cruising and take it from there.

It’s 2008 and we’ve completed our first long coastal cruise... spending a bit over 10 months aboard!
Nothing can stop us now ;-)
